In a quiet corner of the insect world, a young moth named Pedro seeks a new pair of wings. He enters a tailor shop run by Patricia, a meticulous spider, who warns him of the risks involved. Despite his fear, Pedro persists—but at the last moment, he has a change of heart and ends up tearing one of his wings. Moved by a sense of guilt, Patricia mends the wing using silver thread. Pedro then realizes that his unique, mended wings—much like a kintsugi vessel—are what make him special.
Sascha, Gaby and Andrea are filmmakers and animation artists who graduated from the Master’s Degree in Stop Motion Animation at BAU in Barcelona. They co-directed Wing Shop, also taking on writing, production, set construction, cinematography, and animation through an independent and collaborative process.
