About ALCINE

ALCINE (Alcalá de Henares / Community of Madrid Film Festival) is one of Spain and Europe’s longest-running and most prestigious film festivals dedicated to short films. Founded in 1970 out of the initiatives of the Antonio de Nebrija Film Club, the festival has established itself over more than half a century as a leading meeting point for emerging filmmakers, audiovisual innovation and the cutting edge of cinema.

Organised jointly by the City Council of Alcalá de Henares and the Community of Madrid, ALCINE brings together high-level film competition with audience development, research, specialised publishing, the exhibition of auteur feature films and the promotion of the film industry.
