In 1974 Werner Herzog walked from Munich to Paris in an act of faith to avoid the death of his mentor Lotte Eisner. In 2020, a young director follows the same path in the footsteps of Herzog, in an act of love for one of the best filmmakers of our time. A journey through towns, nature, loneliness and cold in search of the meaning of creation. Includes excerpts from the book 'From Walking on Ice' by legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog, narrated by himself exclusively for the film.
