A reflection on what could have been but wasn't, seen through the eyes of Manuel García Robledo, who came within reach of becoming the most famous child in Spain.
In 2018, Alfonso García-Olías Valdepeñas completed a diploma in screenwriting at the Madrid Film Institute. There, he wrote the short film "Y comieron perdices" (David Montero, 2019), winner of the Best National Short Film award at ACTRUM and with extensive experience at festivals such as Diverso Cinema, LesGaiCineMad, and the Elche International Film Festival, among others.
Since then, he has written numerous scripts, including:
- "Techno Precariedad" (Juan Tamargo, Millán Martín, 2021), selected for ABYCINE.
- Also in 2021, he wrote and directed "La Venganza de Sofía," which won first prize in the Navidad en 60 competition organized by Cultura Inquieta and Iberdrola, and was selected for the 13th Radio Nacional de España Short Film Festival.
-In 2022, his screenplays "Anniversary" and "Baltasar Oscuro Casi Negro" were finalists in the third edition of the CiBRA festival.
-In 2024, his screenplay "El peor errores de vuestra vida" won the Best Screenplay award at the 12th edition of the Rodando por Jaén festival. It was recently selected for the Sorihuela del Guadalimar Film Festival.
-In 2025, he wrote the script for the play "Speedritu HD 1.25 ReMix," which premiered at the Sala Tarambana in February of the same year.
Juan Tamargo studied film at both the ECAM and the Madrid Film Institute.
After graduating, he made his first independent short film, "Techno Precariedad," which was presented in official competition at the ABYCINE Film Festival.
Since then, he has made commercials and participated in music videos, with "Yo pude ser Manolito" marking his return to fiction.
