In a spa surrounded by mountains of salt, guests relax and sunbathe, while workers collect the glowing crystals under the sun. Children run off, escaping the watchful eyes of adults, and a woman drifts through this landscape in a haze, detached from reality.
Inês Nunes (Tavira, Portugal. 1993) studied cinema at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon and at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián with a grant from the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. He has directed short films such as Quando a noite acaba (2014), História da noite (2019), premiered at IndieLisboa, and Sonho de um verão (2020), which was presented at the Curtas Festival Vila do Conde. Currently developing his first feature film. A solidão dois lagartos / The Loneliness of Lizards participated in the official short film competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
Ha dirigido cortometrajes como Quando a noite acaba (2014), História da noite (2019), estrenado en IndieLisboa, y Sonho de um verão (2020), que se presentó en el Festival de Curtas Vila do Conde. Actualmente desarrolla su primer largometraje. A solidão dos lagartos / The Loneliness of Lizards participó en la competición oficial de cortometrajes del Festival de Cannes.
