In the riverside neighbourhood of Oporto, all the children prove their courage by jumping from the stunning bridge Luis I into the Duero river. Leo has never done it before. He is different, but he is getting tired of everyone thinking of him as a coward.
Javier studied audiovisual communication, specializing in directing of actors at the Film Academy EICTV of Cuba. In their style his works alternate between fictional and documentary, while in his most recent projects he worked out a sort of hybrid gender of the two. Thanks to the success of his works, he was granted a scholarship of the prestigious Antonio Gala Foundation for Young Artists for his first feature film 'The Inconveniences of Not Being God', premiered at the festival in Málaga and winner of several national and international awards. In 2014 he screens the short film 'Os Meninos Do Rio' in Portugal. Currently Javier is preparing his second feature.
