Up close no one is normal

[FROM FRIDAY 8th OF NOVEMBER 8 TO SUNDAY 8th OF DECEMBER. Antiguo Hospital de Santa María la Rica / Sala Antonio López]

Up close no one is normal. Photographs by Leticia Díaz de la Morena.

Up close no one is normal. Not even the artists and models who, many times, are required to have a perfection that, like everyone else, they do not have.

Photographer Leticia Díaz de la Morena has been looking at her protagonists in the eyes, at their skin, at their interior for 15 years. Also their faces, where we will recognize characters like Antonio Banderas, Penélope Cruz, Dani Martín, Blanca Suárez, Vigo Mortensen, Natalia de Molina or Leonor Watling.

Raised in the Henares Corridor, Leticia Díaz de la Morena began as an assistant to photographers such as Diego Lafuente, Joaquín Calle or Bernardo Doral until she became a professional over the last decade as a freelancer specializing in fashion, editorial and social events, illustrating reports and covers of some of the most important newspapers in our country such as Fotogramas, Elle or Harper's Bazaar.

In its version for ALCINE 53, Up close no one is normal selects thirty of her most cinematic works, with several unpublished productions, along with a sample of the work process of the artist from Coslada and an interactive installation created expressly for this exhibition.
