Fleeing post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in the United States to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during the war due to shifting borders and regimes. Alone in a completely unfamiliar country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his architectural talent. Brady Corbet

Brady James Monson Corbet (born August 17, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director known for his intense and intellectually driven filmmaking style. He began his acting career with Thirteen (2003) and went on to appear in acclaimed films such as Mysterious Skin, Melancholia, and Clouds of Sils Maria.

In 2015, he made his directorial debut with The Childhood of a Leader, which won awards at the Venice Film Festival, followed by Vox Lux (2018) and The Brutalist (2024) — both praised for their political depth and striking visual language.

Since 2012, he has been in a relationship with Norwegian filmmaker Mona Fastvold, with whom he has a daughter, Ada. Corbet is regarded as one of the most promising voices in contemporary cinema, known for his meticulous visuals, emotional precision, and bold artistic vision.
