Akiko is an unusual girl. Her imagination is bigger than this world and her different view on the world often gets her into trouble. That doesn’t make her her teacher’s favorite student. The conflict between them grows when Akiko responds to the theme of Winter magic in the most unusual way.
"Damir Romanov is a film director based in Serbia. He finished film and tv directing and then
continued his PhD studies at Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He is one of the founders of the
NGO Edukativno-Naucna Filmska Mreza.
Damir directed several short live action films and documentaries. His film “Pulse” was in selection
of numerous film festivals in Serbia and abroad and got the award for best story at Festival of
Serbian Fantastic Film. He directed “Graveyard Stories” that was a part of the omnibus “October”.
“Graveyard Stories” was awarded for best film at Festival of Serbian Fantastic Film and for best
Serbian film at Hrizantema Horror & Fantasy Film.
“I am Akiko” is his first short animated film, based on the book of the same name by Stefan Ticmi."
