Nadiia Khatymlianska is a director and screenwriter born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1996, currently based in Germany. She studied language and literature before specializing in film directing.
Her early works include the short films The Doors (2022) and Rudi (2023), the latter nominated for Best European Student Film at the ÉCU – The European Independent Film Festival. In 2024, she directed The Rooms We Share, a drama exploring the complexities of hosting a refugee, which was selected for the Indie Short Fest 2024/2025 Annual Awards. She is currently developing the short film Zeitlos (2025) with the Hamburg Media School. Her work often explores themes of identity, displacement, and human connection.
