Karen Lips is researcher and lives for several years in a tiny little shack in Costa Rica to observe frogs. When she leaves the cloud forest for a short time and returns, the frogs are gone. All of them. Karen sets out to find them – and encounters a horrible truth.
Volker was born in 1968 in Germany. After studying Communication Design at the University of Art and Design in Halle, he worked for several years as a graphic designer in Prague, Halle and Berlin. In 2002, he founded Drushba Pankow, in collaboration with the artist Alexandra Kardinar. Currently he´s working and teaching as illustrators and graphic designers. He is professor of design basics at the Hochschule Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau. His film Kaputt / Broken (2016) premiered at Berlinale, won in Sundance.
