When Vera (Lola Dueñas) was young, she could not take care of her son and had to give him up for adoption. When Cora (Ana Torrent) was young, her doctor told her that she could not have children and that only by adopting could she start a family. They both share the experience of having been mothers to a boy called Egoz (Manuel Egozkue). Now, both women meet again in Portugal to review the story of their lives and rewrite their destinies.
Víctor was born in Bilbao in 1976. He worked as a journalist in San Sebastián, Berlin and Cannes film festivals, until he decides to film. He was the second direction assistant of Isaki Lacuesta during the filming of Cravan Versus Cravan (2001) in Barcelona. Afterwards, he worked as programmer in the film library of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum and he filmed some experimental works for the Miztura music band and the Mai-My contemporary dance association. In 2003, he crossed the ocean and arrived in Uruguay, where the university offered him a lecturer post for cinematic language. Since then, he lives on both sides of the Atlantic, and he alternates teaching, journalism, traveling and his work as a cinema director.
