Three experimental music acts, the electronic pop of Hidrogennesse, and the symphonic film music of the Alcalá City Orchestra provide the soundtrack for the Alcalá de Henares Film Festival
The hypnotic and evocative synth-pop of Sofia, the experimental music with percussion and double bass of Rosin de Palo, and the energetic world of Rrucculla, an icon of Spanish electronic music, make up the evening to which Short Music invites us on Saturday, November 8th. Short Music is ALCINE's commitment to avant-garde music in short format, presented by the Alcalá de Henares Film Festival / Community of Madrid.
Sofia creates authentic, personal, and unclassifiable synth-pop: synthesizers and a sweet female voice evoke ethereal and dreamlike atmospheres. Rosin de Palo fuses classical music with new sounds, without prejudice or musical boundaries, as in his alternative soundtrack for Kirikou and the Sorceress. And Rrucculla, composer of the soundtrack for Pablo Hernando's Una ballena (A Whale), offers energetic compositions that evoke unpredictable emotions.
Three diverse offerings programmed by Colectivo Alterno will share an aura of mystery, playfulness, and experimentation, in a setting inspired by David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks', courtesy of Banquete Studio. A truly delightful cup of coffee for the most discerning viewers.
