The Classroom: the learning space for teachers and cultural mediators

Filmmakers, teachers, and educators will share strategies to bring cinema closer to new generations on Saturday, November 8th in Santa María la Rica

Filmmakers, teachers, educators, and cultural mediators will gather once again for La Clase, a space for dialogue and learning where they will share experiences and strategies for introducing cinema to new generations and learning how to use it as an educational tool. It will take place next Saturday, November 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Old Hospital of Santa María la Rica, organized by ALCINE, ESFAA, and PLANEA (an art and school network), in collaboration with ECAM and Platino Educa. Registration is now open.

The ‘Class. IV International Meeting on Mediation, Cinema, Education and Young Audiences’ is a national event that is becoming increasingly essential within ALCINE, serving to present the activities developed this year related to cinema and young audiences. Its aim is to develop audiovisual literacy and film education, and to strengthen cultural mediation in the audiovisual and cinematic fields.

This fourth edition will bring together some of the most innovative projects in audiovisual education, not only in Spain, but also in Europe, thanks to the incorporation of the ESFAA network (European Short Film Audience Award) into the project promoted by ALCINE and PLANEA, an art and school network.

This is the complete program for The Class (event in English and Spanish with translation available):
