  • The finalist short films will be screened at the Teatro Salón Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares on November 13th, and the winners will be screened at the ALCINE 54 Closing Gala

Registration is now open for the most creative and exciting section of ALCINE 54, the Alcalá de Henares / Community of Madrid Film Festival: the Alcalá Film Jam, a 72-hour short film marathon in Alcalá de Henares. Three prizes of €300 will be awarded to the winners in the Horizontal and Vertical categories, as well as to the winner of the Audience Award. Registration can be submitted now, until 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, through the online form.

Alcalá de Henares has historically been a filming location, from classics like Spartacus to yet-to-be-released international series like The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. This is the responsibility of the Alcalá Film Office of the Department of Tourism, organizer of the Alcalá Film Jam, which seeks to support audiovisual creation and showcase the city's unique heritage sites.

The participating short films must also be filmed in Alcalá de Henares, between November 7 and 10, during ALCINE 54; and must include keywords, which will be shared with participants during the opening session (Friday, November 7, at 6:00 p.m., in Santa María La Rica).

The finalist short films, up to a maximum of five per category, will be screened at the Teatro Salón Cervantes on Thursday, November 13. The winning films will be announced and screened at the ALCINE 54 Closing Gala on Friday, November 14.
