Hae-Joon, a veteran detective, investigates the suspicious death of a man on a mountaintop. Soon, he will begin to suspect Sore, the wife of the deceased, while the attraction he feels for her will destabilize him.



Park Chan-Wook

Park Chan-Wook (Seoul, 1963) graduated in Philosophy from Seoul's Sogang University and then enrolled in Chung-Ang Film School. His first feature film, The Moon Is... the Sun's Dream (1992), was an early work that allowed him to begin shaping his career. However, it was with Oldboy (2003) that Park Chan-Wook gained international recognition. This film, part of his vengeance trilogy, became a critical and commercial success, winning the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. Oldboy is known for its striking visual style, intricate narrative, and shocking violence, which made it a cult film. Park Chan-Wook has continued to produce notable works, including films such as Lady Vengeance (2005) and Thirst (2009). He has explored a variety of genres, from psychological thriller to period drama and horror.
