Zero Screen

Zero Screen

Veteran fans of No Budget will have realized the short film workshop has disappeared this year. There are several reasons for this, the only golden lining for which is the fact that two former students have now completed their first feature film. This gives us a feeling of mission accomplished, and since shooting a short film without resources seems to be everybody’s new approach, maybe it was the right time to focus our efforts on other types of grants and subsidies. What’s more, when we screened “Diamond Flash” last year, we felt we were witnessing something big, and were sure it would not be long before followers appeared in front of and behind the camera.

That is how ‘Zero Screen’ came into being. A new feature film section out of competition in which we would humbly like to provide a showcase for those small gems of genius from the margins, which we feel should not go unnoticed.

We are getting the ball running on Thursday the 15th at 22:00 in the Corral de Comedias, screening a preview of Caídos, by Jaime Herrero, and the premiere of Cabás, by Pablo Hernando. And bringing the first year of Zero Screen to a close on Friday at 21:30, also in the Corral, with the preview of La tumba de Bruce Lee, by Canódromo abandonado, and with the premiere of Mi loco Erasmus, by Carlo Padial.
