On the outskirts of a city, a man sleeps in his grocery store on a hot summer afternoon. A premonitory dream startles him; tomorrow the city will have changed forever and no one will remember how to get home.
Antonio Llamas (1992, Madrid) is a director and screenwriter from Madrid. He graduated in Film and Audiovisual Directing from ECAM 2019. Founder of the film collective espírituescalera, along with other colleagues. He is also co-founder of Espacio Carnicería, a space for artistic and multidisciplinary creation that he shares with other film collectives and partners from other creative fields. So far, his works have travelled to various international film festivals and contemporary art spaces. La insurrección que viene was selected as a project in its development phase in the Focus Script 2022 of the Cannes Film Festival, and was also a beneficiary of one of the Visual Creation Grants of Matadero Madrid. He is also currently in the post-production phase of the feature film Mitología de barrio, a docu-fiction that has previously been supported by various laboratories and festivals such as Abycine or Márgenes WORK. Meanwhile, he is in the editing phase of other projects, and is also developing his first fiction feature film called Laguna El Ministro, with selections in laboratories such as NovosCinemas or Filmin's Mallorca Talent Lab
