David Doutel

David Doutel was born in Porto, Portugal, in 1983. He graduated in Sound and Image at UCP School of Arts, with an extensive background in Animation. During the last 10 years he has developed his work in the field of independent animated short films, both as director, animator and production manager. He has worked in artistic and production departments, being involved in the creation of several award-winning short films that have been regularly selected for international film festivals. He has developed his career together with Vasco Sá.

Vasco Sá

Vasco Sá was born in Porto in 1979. He graduated in Sound and Image at the School of Arts (UCP). At UPC he met David Doutel, with whom he has shared several projects in the universe of animated film, namely the direction of the short films O Sapateiro/The Shoemaker (2011) and Fuligem/Soot (2014), recognized and awarded nationally and internationally, and Agouro/Augur (2018), his most recent work. In addition to this journey in the field of film directing, he has integrated the team of multiple film projects of different authors, both in the artistic and productive aspect.  Since 2011, she has been collaborating with the production company Bando à Parte, as director and head of animation production, alongside David Doutel.
