Alberto Martín Menacho (Madrid, 1986) holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Haute école d'art et de design - HEAD in Geneva. In 2015 he made his first short film, Pata negra. In 2018, Mi amado, las montañas, was presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and received the award for best short film at the Las Palmas Film Festival. Alberto has been artist-in-residence at Tabakalera and Casa de Velázquez, Académie de France in Madrid. His work has been exhibited in art galleries, museums and film festivals, including the Photo Elysée Museum in Lausanne, the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, FIDMarseille, Doclisboa and Visions du Réel. His first feature film, Antier noche, was presented in 2023 at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
