Spain, in the fifties. Montse is no longer young, she has lost her youth caring for her little sister, locked in a sinister apartment in central Madrid. Her mother died during the childbirth of her little sister, and the father could not stand it. He fled cowardly leaving them alone. Forced to be a father, mother and older sister, Montse hides away from life within her four walls, fueling an obsessive and unbalanced temperament: She suffers from agoraphobia, and can’t take a step outside the house. She does not understand what happens to her, and the suffering that this strange disease obliges her to take refuge in a world of Our Fathers and Hail Marys. Montse works as a seamstress and the only link that connects her to reality is the girl, a girl who is ceasing to be. One day, the chain breaks: Carlos, a young and irresponsible neighbor, has the misfortune of falling down the stairs seeking help in the only door which has been able to crawl. Montse picks him up. Someone has entered the den of the shrew, it may not reemerge ...


Juanfer Andrés
Juanfer is teacher of Screenwriting and Production for television and film at the Instituto del Cine de Madrid. During the last eight years, he has accumulated an extent experience in the production of television spots, videoclips and concerts. He has directed half a dozen of short films. Some, like 'El Doctor' or 'Estoy a tu lado', widely circulated through festivals. He won the 'Premio Arte Joven' for the best direction of the Community of Madrid with 'Mosén' in 1999. 'Musarañas', his third script for feature film, is currently in preproduction fase and will bring him back to work in direction with Esteban Roel.
Esteban Roel
Esteban was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León (Mexico) and was formed as an actor and director for theatre and film in Mexico DF, Spain and Italy. He has been a drama teacher in various countries. In 1995 he arrived in Spain due to a scholarship where he decided to remain. In a year and a half, he created alongside some partners the Madrid Film Institute, where he works as the head of studies and the Acting and Performance for television and film diploma programme. During these years he has participated as an actor in several series and films and has produced and directed various plays. He has a special interest for improvisation plays, as he has demonstrated in his shows. For some years he has been working alongside Yllana Teatro in the Alfil Theatre where the International Gag Institute was created for the progress and the teaching of humor plays where he's also head of studies.
