The year 2024 is coming to an end soon, also for the 53rd edition of ALCINE. It does so with the good feelings that the end of this trilogy leaves us with, with which we inaugurate the new format of the festival, with ideas and challenges for the 54th edition and with a record attendance. From its start, on November 7, until the end of its programming, with El Día Más Corto, on December 19, 21,676 spectators attended the festival's screenings, exhibitions and activities. More than 17,000 were also able to enjoy the National and European Competitions online thanks to Filmin.
Aside from the numbers, in this new edition we are starting new sections (AL(U)CINE, ALBIBE, Sesión Continua) to bring the festival to more viewers, and we are strengthening a larger and more loyal ALCINÉFILO audience every year.
