ALCINE39 award winners screened at the Film Academy
ALCINE39 has left its mark. Some of the award winners from last year’s National Competition are scheduled for screening in June. The Academy of Film Arts and Sciences in Madrid is showing four award-winning works from ALCINE39. Film buffs will have the chance to recall some of the best productions on show at the last Alcalá de Henares / Comunidad de Madrid International Film Festival.

The screening of each of the short films will be the aperitif to a feature film. 'El tránsito', one of two works with which León Siminiani won First Prize, will be first up at the Film Academy. It can be seen on Wednesday the 23rd at 19:00 before the screening of 'The White Bandº (Michael Haneke). The next day, Thursday the 24th, will be the turn of the other short film with which Siminiani won First Prize, 'Límites: 1ª Persona'.

And on Saturday the 25th (19:00) they will be showing 'Tu(A)mor' (Fernando Franco) , the winner of the Second Prize at ALCINE39, after which the audience will be able to enjoy the French production 'Un Prophete' (Jacques Audiard). ALCINE’s last diary entry for the month is on Wednesday the 30th (19.00), and is the screening of 'Epílogo', by Zoe Berriatúa, which was awarded the Comunidad de Madrid and Technicolor Best Photography prizes in Alcalá. On the same day after its screening, you can see 'Katyn', historical cinema made by Polish director Andrzej Wajda.

Screenings will be held in a specially prepared theatre at the Film Academy (Zurbano, 3).
