Latin short films find a home at ALCINE

For the third year in a row, ShortLatino, the European and Latin American short film market, is inviting Spanish and Portuguese language short films to participate in the videolibrary of ALCINE42.

ShortLatino came into being with the goal of becoming a meeting point between creators, agencies and distributors of Spanish and Portuguese short films, and purchasers, programmers and festivals from all over the world. One of the main attractions of ShortLatino is the videolibrary, which enables professionals attending the market and ALCINE to view hundreds of Latin American short films. They can also view all the short films presented for the national and European competitions; ALCINE’s two competitive sections.

The process is simple: If you have a Spanish or Portuguese language short film made in 2011 or 2012 (Spanish short films can be presented directly through the National Short Film Competition), it is just necessary to complete its registration online, by filling in a form with data on the short film and uploading the short film all completely for free. During the week of the festival (from the 10th to the 16th of November), the short films received will be viewed by the professionals attending the market and ALCINE. In total, close to 1,400 short films are available for viewing on streaming. A catalogue is being edited containing information on all the short films presented, with contact information, photos and files for each piece of work.

The deadline for reception of work is the 1st of October 2012.
