Sunday Night Cartoons

There was once a time, before on-demand platforms and thematic channels, when animated TV was relegated to mornings at the weekend. Between the sixties and the nineties ‘Saturday Morning Cartoons’ provided a space for the best short films made by studios such as Hannah Barbera and Warner Bros; a license to misbehave dressed up as cartoons, and there was that anime boom too.

So with one eye on the past and another on the future, we would like to invite you on a night-time journey to the most outlandish European animation of the moment: foul-smelling characters, zombie animals, pixelated junk food, heroic frogs and absurd cartoons about life comprise a programme to enjoy dining on cereals in front of the big screen to help you forget for a while about pact-o-meters and electoral nightmares.
