When a young woman returns to her native village to attend a childhood friend's traditional Turkish wedding, she is afraid she will not be accepted. But when, in this short drama, she reunites with her four friends from bygone years, she discovers she is not free of prejudice either.



Ayla Çekin Satijn

Ayla Çekin Satin is an actress and director. Ayla can be seen in the series and film Anne+ and has appeared in series such as Deep Shit and Dirty Lines, released worldwide on Netflix in 2022. Ayla is a queer Turkish woman and feels a great responsibility to portray progressive roles for women. She has been touring with several theater companies in the Netherlands, such as Toneelgroep Oostpool and Club Lam. Ayla is co-founder of Club Lam, a feminist theater collective. She made her directorial debut with her self-written short film Beş at the Netherlands Film Festival. She was awarded the Audience Award at the Go Short International Film Festival in April 2022.
