Marieke Elzerman makes both personal documentaries and fiction films. In January 2018 her bachelor project Marieme, Marieke (2018) premiered at Galerie Van Gelder in Amsterdam. In May 2018 she was selected for an intense workshop 'Filming in Peru' with Werner Herzog. In the same year she did an internship in Lisbon with the Portuguese director Salomé Lamas. Following her graduation from the master's film programme at KASK, School of Arts in Ghent, Belgium in September 2020, she will follow postgraduate course at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, in San Sébastian, Spain.
