Carmela lives in the inland of Central Italy. Ninety two, hard and obstinate as the place where she spent all her life. Following the poor and sad funeral of her friend she makes a decision, she wish to go with dignity. The young grand-daughter Martina is going to stay with the grandma during the last days, observing her silently, fascinated by this figure both mysterious and gentle.
Maria Tilli graduated at Sapienza University in 2010 with a thesis about Ronconi and Pasolini. In 2009 she directed the documentary "La Gente Resta", produced by Fabrica, about Ilva in Taranto. In 2015 she graduates in direction at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia with the shortfilm "Tutte le cose sono piene di lei".
