"Everybody has the aptitude to work creatively. It is just that most of them never realize the fact", Truman Capote. We totally agree with the first part of the quote. And we have spent six years working like mad to disprove the second part. 'Notodofilmfest.com', also the Jameson Festival of distilled Cinema, came into being in 2001 with one clear objective, to become a virtual showcase for promoting the work of anyone who has a film director lurking within them, anyone who is capable of working creatively.

More than 4000 short films in just 5 festivals have made an exception of Truman Capote's rule. Hundreds of filmmakers have demonstrated the fact that talent, if you've got it, is just a question of ideas and not about the big studios and bags of cash, all thanks to our short film festival on Internet.

We are proud as punch to think of some of the 'kids' we helped bring up who are now big names in Cinema: Nacho Vigalondo, Mario Iglesias, Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, Oriol Puig, Rodrigo Cortés… In tandem with the premiere of our sixth festival, directed by Bigas Luna this year, we leave you with some of the best short films from the past and the collection of nine 'notodos' made exclusively for the festival by members of the jury.
