The longest running feature film section at the Festival; Open Screen for New Directors is screening seven of the most interesting feature film debuts from last year. Last Friday the section kicked off with Un otoño sin Berlín, followed yesterday by Tarde para la ira, presented by Raúl Arévalo. Screenings will continue until Thursday with El destierro (Tuesday 8, 22 h., Teatro Salón Cervantes), Tanger Gool (Wednesday 9, 17:30 h., Teatro Salón Cervantes), María y los demás (Wednesday 9, 22 h., Teatro Salón Cervantes), La puerta abierta (Thursday 10, 20 h., Teatro Salón Cervantes), and El rey tuerto (Thursday 10, 22 h., Teatro Salón Cervantes).

As per tradition, the directors and producers of the films will be in attendance, and will each present the films screened in each session.

At Open Screen, the audiences are the only jury, and choose the best film out of the seven on exhibit. Prize-winners in recent years include: Daniel Guzmán, for A cambio de nada, Carlos Vermut for Magical Girl and Daniel Castro for Ilusión.
