The National Short Film Competition is now open for entries

In addition to the nationality, essential requirements include having been made after the 1st of January 2013, being no longer than 60 minutes, and a 35 mm or HD file screening copy.

Registrations can be made online, and this time round it is not necessary to upload short films to a specific platform. You just have to send the link for online viewing (Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion...) in the best possible quality, along with any passwords needed for protected short films.

The short films will compete for the following prizes:

'City of Alcalá'  Prizes (8,000, 4,000 and 2,500 €).

‘Comunidad de Madrid’ Prize (2,500 €)

Higher School of Image and Sound Prize (CES) for the best sound (3,000 € in services)

‘Canal +’ Prize

‘ALMA’ Prize for the best script (300 €)

‘Young People’s Department of the Town Hall of Alcalá de Henares’ Audience Prize

AMA Prize (Madrid Audiovisual Association) for the Best Madrid Production.
